Permita-me dirigir singelas palavras, o que faço, em nome do São Paulo Futebol Clube na condição de Presidente, assim como o faço em meu nome pessoal.

Disse o Poeta Vinícius de Morais que “a vida é a arte do encontro, embora haja tantos desencontros pela vida”. Há 20 anos, Rogério Ceni encontrou em seu caminho a Gloriosa História do São Paulo Futebol Clube.

Naquele momento, a ninguém seria dado imaginar que as correntezas dessas duas Histórias iriam confluir de forma tão singela, que, pelas próximas décadas, iriam se tornar um único caminhar, percorrido em uníssono pelo Homem e pelo Clube, com tamanha harmonia a ponto de poder se dizer ser esse um único afluente.

Nesses 20 anos, Rogério Ceni soube percorrer todas as etapas comuns à vida profissional de um atleta de futebol.

Soube chegar e superar as agruras daqueles que sofrem pela falta do aconchego da cidade do interior e estranham a frieza da cidade grande.

Soube esperar seu momento, absorvendo com intensidade os ensinamentos dos mais velhos, como que antevendo o quanto essas lições lhe seriam úteis quando fosse chegada sua hora de brilhar.

Soube passar pelos momentos difíceis com a resignação dos esportistas e o inconformismo dos vencedores.
Constitui família, com sua esposa Sandra e teve suas lindas gêmeas: Beatriz e Clara.

Mais do que tudo, Rogério Ceni soube amar. Amar tanto o São Paulo Futebol Clube a ponto de ser reconhecido pelos milhões de torcedores como sendo um deles dentro do campo. Dessa gente que sofrida, que vem de longe e dedica ao Clube horas do seu lazer e o sacrifício dos abnegados, Rogério Ceni recebe o carinho que somente dispensariam àqueles nos quais reconhecessem a coincidência do igual amor.

Quis o destino, que é justo e sempre sabe recompensar os apaixonados, que Rogério Ceni tivesse tido a oportunidade de vencer no São Paulo Futebol Clube. Vencer já na condição de Capitão, líder respeitado e querido pelos colegas, técnicos, dirigentes e funcionários do Clube.

Campeonatos Paulistas, Brasileiros, Libertadores, Mundial de Clubes. Rogério Ceni ganhou tudo no São Paulo. Fez História e bateu recordes. Fez, até hoje, 90 gols, todos eles com a camisa do São Paulo Futebol Clube. Todos eles como goleiro. Criou uma marca própria, na forma do alarido que se ouve nos estádios do Brasil e do Mundo quando aquela figura com trajes diferentes dos demais e que estaria ali só para defender, sai correndo da sua meta e atravessa o campo para cobrar uma falta ou um pênalti. Tornou-se, então, o maior goleiro artilheiro do Mundo, levou, com suas façanhas, o nome do São Paulo Futebol com destaque no Brasil e no Exterior.

E mesmo que nesse momento seja a oportunidade de relembrar o que já conquistou, Rogério Ceni, após 20 anos de São Paulo Futebol Clube, ainda tem muito a fazer. Rogério Ceni ainda quer mais. E não duvidemos que muito mais ainda irá conseguir. Até porque, cada vitória só fez aumentar sua obsessão por mais títulos, por mais conquistas, por mais outras vitórias que certamente virão.

Rogério Ceni é como o São Paulo Futebol Clube, obcecado pela vitória, inconformado e insatisfeito com tudo que seja menos do que o melhor, a excelência, o próximo passo rumo a um novo objetivo ainda mais grandioso do que o anterior.

Por isso tudo, Rogério Ceni, o São Paulo Futebol Clube está honrado por ter, nesses últimos 20 anos, podido contar com seus serviços, com sua dedicação, com seu profissionalismo e, sem que nenhuma contradição, com o seu amor.
