Ministro assinou documento entre Corinthians e Odebrecht

O primeiro documento firmado entre Corinthians e Odebrecht para a construção de um estádio em Itaquera tem a assinatura do ministro do Esporte, Orlando Silva Júnior, como testemunha.
Consultada na quarta-feira, por volta das 18h pelo blog, a assessoria do Ministério só confirmou nesta sexta à tarde a informação. De acordo com a assessoria, Silva Jr. estava no Parque São Jorge para participar da festa de aniversário do Corinthians e da homenagem do Clube dos 13 ao presidente Lula, no último dia 31. Durante o evento, Andrés Sanchez pediu para que ele aproveitasse sua presença e assinasse como testemunha um termo de cooperação técnica entre a Odebrecht e o Corinthians para a construção do estádio.
No Parque São Jorge, o mesmo documento é chamado de carta de intenções. Segundo conselheiros do clube, a assinatura do ministro está sendo usada pela diretoria como uma forma de dar credibilidade ao projeto. Quem diz ter dúvidas se o estádio vai sair do papel ouve como resposta que, se o projeto não fosse sério, não teria o “aval” do ministro.
Por sua vez, a assessoria do ministério diz que o gesto de Silva Jr. não teve a intenção de dar credibilidade ou de avalizar o plano corintiano. O ministro apenas atendeu ao pedido do presidente do clube para testemunhar o acordo entre as duas partes. Nenhuma participação do ministério está prevista no projeto.
Os corintianos envolvidos na construção da arena falam, longe dos microfones, que o presidente Lula foi quem convenceu a Odebrecht a entrar no negócio.
Além disso, foi revelado, no dia 1º, que existem dutos de óleo combustível que passam sob a área onde o clube e a Odebrecht pretendem construir a arena. Existem restrições a construções em cima desse tipo de estrutura. Pelo desenho do projeto, os dutos estariam embaixo de uma das arquibancadas. O Corinthians, no entanto, afirma que os dutos passam no local onde será construído o estacionamento da arena, não prejudicando o andamento do projeto.
